I’ll be in Sacramento, California on September 26, 2009, speaking at the Money Wi$e Women Conference. I hope you’ll join me!

While I’ll enjoy the chance to speak about credit reports and scores, what I am really looking forward to is the opportunity to learn from some of my favorite money-wise women. Two of the keynote speakers are women I truly admire, and both are phenomenal speakers and teachers:

  • Marcia Brixey is the conference organizer and the author of The Money Therapist: A Woman’s Guide to Creating a Healthy Financial Life. She will talk about “Five Steps to Create a Healthy Financial Life.”
  • Mikelann Valterra, director of the Women’s Earning Institute and author of Why Women Earn Less: How to Make What You’re Really Worth will be explaining how to “Earn at Your Potential: Embracing the Seven Challenges.”

I haven’t met the third keynote speaker, Sandra Smith, author of Get What You Really Want Without the Guilt, but I have a feeling I won’t be disappointed.

In addition to the keynote sessions, attendees get to choose three breakout sessions:

  • Building a Financially Healthy Business – Stacey Powell, Powell & Associates
  • Protecting Your Family: Wills & Estate Planning – Tracy Potts, Attorney at Law
  • Women & Investing –Rashida Lilani, Lilani Wealth Management
  • Building Your Financial Future – Cindy Fuzie, MassMutual Financial Group
  • Revisit Your Career – Panel hosted by Prudential Financial
  • Financial & Emotional Freedom – Anita Renee Johnson
  • Goal Setting for Prosperity – Roberta Pickett, R G Pickett Coaching
  • Being Frugal Is Fabulous – Nicole Morton
  • Second Bloom: 10 Steps to Reinvent, Rejuvenate & Realize a New Life– Michelle Gamble-Risley
  • How to Build and Keep Great Credit – yours truly, Gerri Detweiler, Credit.com
  • Organizing Your Financial Records – Jessica Chapman, Room to Breathe

(I wish I could attend each one… but at least I’ll get to sit in on two. I just haven’t decided which!)

WHEN: Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
WHERE: Sacramento State, University Union, Sacramento, CA
REGISTRATION INFO: Online at www.moneywisewomen.net
REGISTRATION FEE: $49.00 (includes all conference sessions, lunch, and a copy of
Marcia’s book The Money Therapist). After September 23 the registration fee is $59.00.
SCHOLARSHIP INFO: Scholarships are available to people who cannot pay the registration fee & all Sacramento State students. Send an email to info@moneywisewomen.net or call (360) 204-0982.

Let me just reiterate: The entire day’s program, including lunch and Marcia’s book, is only $49! And this is not one of those seminars where everyone is just trying to sell something else. Attendees walk away with new skills and knowledge that are more critical in today’s economy.

Credit.com is proud to be one of the sponsors of the event. I hope to see you there!
